Class ‘The Conscious Body’

‘The Conscious Body’ is a system which teaches how to build and use strength intelligently. We train the body using repeating phrases of integrated strength, flexibility and functional movement to magnify basic skills of pulling and pushing along, into, and out of the floor to prepare for fast but regulated weight transitions. With conscious weight investment we find movements which adhere to personal skeletal structures and musculature as a logical consequence of shifted weight. We emphasize thinking through movement so as to establish safe neuromuscular habits and follow the muscular activations which awaken natural body consciousness.
